Introduction

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

– George Bernard Shaw

There are millions of problems in the world, and I cannot solve even one millionth of it. I won’t even attempt to do that.

But, what I will do is to share what I have learned from life, through my life. I have had my share of problems and experiences over a couple of decades. I went through ups and downs, seen the good and the bad – just like you.

Over the past 5-6 years, I noticed some patterns. Some things, even though they were completely unrelated, worked in similar ways. After some introspection, I’ve come to see that our lives are somehow under our control.

True, we may not be able to control what happens to us – but we can control how we choose to react to it.

So, I started to consciously analyse my behaviour and actively try to tweak it to help me feel better. I changed the way I thought about things, the way I reacted to things, and the way I felt about things… I don’t have complete mastery over any of it, but it did make my life a whole lot easier.

Then, I decided to share with the world all these “life lessons” that I learned – and continue to learn. What you will read in these pages are not quick-fixes to your problems. They are mostly mental tweaks that will have to be practiced regularly until they become a habit. I hope the words within these pages will give you some perspective, or  show you another way of looking at the events in your life.

Take it easy – don’t make your life any harder than it has to be!
